Colonel Bailey's Dungeon

Right across from Ranganatha Swamy temple inside the Tipu's fort in Srirangapatnam lies this secret dungeon underground, unobtrusive from outside. But here's where Tipu used to imprison British prisoners, chained to the walls. Col. Bailey died here in 1782 A.D.
