On our way from Denver, we took a scenic byway to Moab, one that hugged the Colorado river. There were times where the road was narrow and the river just a few feet from the edge of the road, but far below. It was an exciting drive with the kids at the edge of their seats. Then we came upon a pullout, and found this memorial for 5-year-old Danika, who probably fell into the river by accident.
